Colin Baxter MBA, FCMA
Group Managing Director
Colin graduated in Scotland as an accountant in 1972. From 1983 to 1995, he was Finance Manager for Abunayyan in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This water well drilling and trading company had over 1,200 employees.
In 1995 he completed an independent study MBA at Syracuse University, one of America’s oldest universities.
On completion of his MBA, Colin helped create the concept and Business Plan for Hydroturf and moved to Dubai in 1995, as MD of the new company.
General Manager, Egypt and Kenya
Ken joined TORO UK in 1986 and developed his business knowledge and skills on the TORO irrigation product range.
In 1990 he was appointed TORO product manager for Saudi Arabia and moved to Riyadh. Ken then moved to Dubai in 1995 to help create Hydroturf as a founding partner.
In 1999, Ken moved to Egypt as GM to improve the performance of Hydroturf Egypt. In this role he was responsible for irrigation, turfcare machinery, Club Car and Battery products.
General Manager, Pumps
Shaju’s extensive engineering experience started in 1987 as the senior electrical technician for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed’s Engineers Office. He moved to Hydroturf in 1998 to be responsible for our (ITT) Xylem Flowtronex pumping systems.
In 2005, he created a new pumps workshop for Hydroturf and took on Lowara, Vogel and Goulds pumps.
Shaju has developed the legally registered “Hydroturf Packaged Pump Sets” as a high quality product for local landscape contractors and the water business.
Marwan Hurani Bsc Ag,
General Manager, Levant and Northern Gulf
Marwan has worked in Jordan, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Tunisia, Oman, Egypt, USA and Europe. A Jordanian national, he has a BSc in Ag Engineering from the Cranfield Institute of Technology (CIT) in the United Kingdom.
Marwan joined Hydroturf in 1999 and was based initially in the UAE. He moved to Doha in 2002 as GM, to head up our new Doha office and then moved in 2013 to Jordan to help develop our sales in Jordan, Iraq and Kuwait.
General Manager, Dubai, Machinery & Club Car
Based in Scotland from 2002 to 2008 as GM for Xylem (formerly ITT) Water Solutions.
In 2008, Brian moved to Dubai. He was the MD for Xylem from 2008 to 2013 which manufactured and sold pumps such as Flowtronex, Lowara, Goulds, etc.
From 2013 to 2015 he was GM of RSS with responsibility for developing their Water Division which included water treatment acquisition.
Brian joined Hydroturf Dubai in 2016, as GM of our Turf Machinery and Club Car teams.
General Manager, Jordan
Zaid has a BA from Switzerland and a Graduate degree in Marketing and International Business from McGill University in Canada.
He was a founding partner in New East Company in 1999 which represented Pentair water treatment systems in Jordan.
New East Co. then became the Club Car Distributor for Jordan and in 2009, became a partner in Hydroturf Jordan. Zaid is the GM and is responsible for developing sales of our Hydroturf products in Jordan.
Battery Division Manager
Hashique has a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and spent his early career years in marketing and sales.
In 2002, he moved to Dubai and worked with Khansaheb Civil Engineering as an Estimator.
In 2003, he joined Hydroturf in the newly created Deep Cycle Battery Division.
Since that time, Hashique has helped build our Battery operation into a Middle Eastern market leader, with products ranging from Deep Cycle, Traction, and Lithium batteries.
Group Service Manager
Gary worked for Scottish Grass Machinery from 2000 to 2007 and serviced turf machinery on golf courses throughout Scotland. In 2002 he became Head Mechanic for the West of Scotland. In 2005 he was promoted to Workshop Manager for the 4 golf courses at the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Resort.
He joined Hydroturf in 2007 and has built the After Sales machinery and golf car team to over 50 trained mechanics and admin personnel.
General Manager, East Africa
Philip joined Hydroturf in 2016 to help create and develop our East African sales and support operation, Based in Nairobi, Kenya we will build a trading network for Kenya and the surrounding markets.
From 2002-2008 he was employed by the Kenyan dealer for Peugeot, Tata, KIA and Honda. He was responsible for creation of mobile service workshops and improving pre delivery inspection. From 2008 he was the Dealer Development Manager for Tata in Kenya with responsibility for workshop development.
