King Abdullah Economic City is located on the Western coast of Saudi Arabia and will progress to completion over a period of 20 years from 2006.
Emaar Properties had budgeted for $38 billion to be invested in this development.
This is the single largest mixed-use development project ever undertaken in the Gulf region and reflects cross-border cooperation.
Leisure will be an important component and the plan includes 3,000 hotel rooms, equestrian club and an 18-hole golf course.
Hydroturf has been working with Emaar on the golf course pumping and irrigation requirements and in 2009, supplied an ITT Flowtronex pumping station to the project.
